Diltiazem EP Impurity D is chemically (2S,3S)-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-5-[2-(methylamino)ethyl]-4-oxo-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1,5-benzothiazepin-3-yl acetate hydrochloride (as per EP & USP). It is also known as Diltiazem USP Related Compound D ; N-Desmethyl Diltiazem Hydrochloride .
