Budesonide is chemically 16α,17-[(1RS)-Butylidenebis(oxy)]-11β,21-dihydroxypregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione (as per EP) ; (RS)-11b,16a,17,21-Tetrahydroxypregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione cyclic 16,17-acetal (as per USP). Budesonide is supplied with detailed characterization data compliant with regulatory guideline. Budesonide can be used for the analytical method development, method validation (AMV), Quality Controlled (QC) application for Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) or during commercial production of Budesonide.
