Piperacillin is chemically (2S,5R,6R)-6-[(2R)-2-(4-Ethyl-2,3-dioxopiperazine-1-carboxamido)-2-phenylacetamido]-3,3-dimethyl-7-oxo-4-thia-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylic acid (as per EP); (2S,5R,6R)-6-[(R)-2-(4-Ethyl-2,3-dioxo-1-piperazinecarboxamido)-2-phenylacetamido]-3,3-dimethyl-7-oxo-4-thia-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylic acid (as per USP). Piperacillin is supplied with detailed characterization data compliant with regulatory guideline. Piperacillin can be used for the analytical method development, method validation (AMV), Quality Controlled (QC) application for Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) or during commercial production of Piperacillin.
