Ceftazidime is chemically (6R,7R)-7-[[(2Z)-2-(2-Aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-[(1-carboxy-1-methylethoxy)imino]acetyl]amino]-8-oxo-3-[(pyridin-1-ium-1-yl)methyl]-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2-carboxylate (as per EP); [6R[6α,7β(Z)]]-1-[[(6R,7R)-7-[2-(2-Amino-4-thiazolyl)glyoxylamido]-2-carboxy-8-oxo-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-en–3-yl]methyl]pyridinium hydroxide, inner salt, 72-(Z)-[O(1-carboxy-1-methylethyl)oxime] (as per USP). Ceftazidime is supplied with detailed characterization data compliant with regulatory guideline. Ceftazidime can be used for the analytical method development, method validation (AMV), Quality Controlled (QC) application for Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) or during commercial production of Ceftazidime pentahydrate.
