Cefalotin Sodium is chemically Sodium (6R,7R)-3-[(acetyloxy)methyl]-8-oxo-7-[(thiophen-2-ylacetyl)amino]-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2-carboxylate (as per EP) ; Monosodium (6R,7R)-3-(hydroxymethyl)-8-oxo-7-[2-(2-thienyl)-acetamido]-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2-carboxylate acetate (ester) (as per USP). It is also known as Cephalothin Sodium (USP). Cefalotin Sodium is supplied with detailed characterization data compliant with regulatory guideline. Cefalotin Sodium can be used for the analytical method development, method validation (AMV), Quality Controlled (QC) application for Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) or during commercial production of Cefalotin.
