Montelukast is chemically [1-[[[(1R)-1-[3-[(E)-2-(7-Chloroquinolin-2-yl)ethenyl]phenyl]-3-[2-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl)phenyl]propyl]sulfanyl]methyl]cyclopropyl]acetic acid (as per EP); 1-[[[(R)-m-[(E)-2-(7-chloro-2-quinolyl)vinyl]-α-[o-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl)phenethyl]benzyl]thio]-methyl]cyclopropane acetic acid (as per USP). It is also known as Montelukast Acid. Montelukast is supplied with detailed characterization data compliant with regulatory guideline. Montelukast can be used for the analytical method development, method validation (AMV), Quality Controlled (QC) application for Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) or during commercial production of Montelukast.
