Bisacodyl is chemically [(Pyridin-2-yl)methylene]di(4,1-phenylene) diacetate (as per EP) ; 4,4′-(Pyridin-2-ylmethylene)diphenyl diacetate (as per USP). It is also known as Alophen ; Bicol ; Contralax ; Correctol Caplets ; Dulcolax ; Hillcolax ; Laxine ; Pyrilax ; Telemin. Bisacodyl is supplied with detailed characterization data compliant with regulatory guideline. Bisacodyl can be used for the analytical method development, method validation (AMV), Quality Controlled (QC) application for Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) or during commercial production of Bisacodyl.
