Acarbose EP Impurity A is chemically O-4,6-Dideoxy-4-[[(1S,4R,5S,6S)-4,5,6-trihydroxy-3-(hydroxymethyl)cyclohex-2-enyl]amino]-α-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-O-α-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-d-arabino-hex-2-ulopyranose (as per EP & USP). It is also known as Acarbose USP Impurity A ; Acarbose D-Fructose Impurity. Acarbose EP Impurity A is supplied with detailed characterization data compliant with regulatory guideline. Acarbose EP Impurity A can be used for the analytical method development, method validation (AMV), Quality Controlled (QC) application for Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) or during commercial production of Acarbose.
