Mupirocin EP Impurity A is chemically 9-[[(2E)-4-[(2S,3R,4R,5R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-5-[[(2S,3S)3-[(1S,2S)-2-hydroxy-1-methylpropyl]oxiranyl] methyl]tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl]-3-methylbut-2-enoyl]oxy]nonanoic acid (as per EP); 9-{(E)-3-Methyl-4-[(2S,3R,4S,5R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-5-({(2S,3S)-3-[(2S,3S)-3-hydroxybutan-2-yl]oxiran-2-yl}methyl)tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl]but-2-enoyl oxy}nonanoic acid (as per USP) .
