Acitretin is chemically (2E,4E,6E,8E)-9-(4-Methoxy-2,3,6-trimethylphenyl)-3,7-dimethylnona-2,4,6,8-tetraenoic acid (as per EP); (all-E)-9-(4-Methoxy-2,3,6-trimethylphenyl)-3,7-dimethyl-2,4,6,8-nonatetraenoic acid (as per USP). It is also known as Acitretinoin ; Etretin ; Neotigason ; Soriatane ; TMMP ; all-trans-Acitretin. Acitretin is supplied with detailed characterization data compliant with regulatory guideline. Acitretin can be used for the analytical method development, method validation (AMV), Quality Controlled (QC) application for Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) or during commercial production of Acitretin.
