Trazodone is chemically 2-[3-[4-(3-Chlorophenyl)piperazin-1-yl]propyl][1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pyridin-3(2H)-one (as per EP) ; 1,2,4-Triazolo[4,3-a]pyridin-3(2H)-one, 2-[3-[4-(3-chlorophenyl)-1-piperazinyl]propyl]-, (as per USP). Trazodone is supplied with detailed characterization data compliant with regulatory guideline. Trazodone can be used for the analytical method development, method validation (AMV), Quality Controlled (QC) application for Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) or during commercial production of Trazodone.
