Mupirocin Calcium Dihydrate is chemically Calcium bis[9-[[(2E)-4-[(2S,3R,4R,5S)-3,4-dihydroxy-5[[(2S,3S)-3-[(1S,2S)-2-hydroxy-1methylpropyl] oxiranyl]methyl]tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl]-3-methylbut-2-enoyl]oxy]nonanoate] dihydrate (as per EP) (αE,2S,3R,4R,5S)-5-[(2S,3S,4S,5S)-2,3-Epoxy-5-hydroxy-4-methylhexyl]tetrahydro-3,4-dihydroxy-β-methyl-2H-pyran-2-crotonic acid, ester with 9-hydroxynonanoic acid, calcium salt (2:1), dihydrate (as per USP). It is also known as Pseudomonic acid ; Turixin ; trans-Pseudomonic acid. Mupirocin Calcium Dihydrate is supplied with detailed characterization data compliant with regulatory guideline.
